Happy Days and Happy Families

Jemma & Lexi the Lab

Jemma and Lexi were in a home with 2 young boys under 6 and the mother was not able to cope with kids and dogs, so decided to look for a new forever home for them. They had started off with just the Golden Jemma and then 6 months later got the Black Lab Lexi to try and calm things down, however single trouble became double trouble.

Mom Julie, phoned Margaret who had a look at her list and put her in touch with Janet and John who having just lost a Golden, wanted another as companion for their young dog Bo. Julie wanted to make sure that Jemma and Lexi were going to the right home, so she arranged to take them round to meet Bo and Janet one Friday afternoon. This was a master stroke by Julie as Janet then said they would be prepared to take both dogs as they had all got on so well.

Julie then took them back for the weekend so the family could say good-bye and Janet said to us, the expression on Bo’s face as they left was as if he was saying “Mum why are my new friends leaving?”

Anyway on Monday they were all re-united and have lived happily ever after……

In many ways this was a perfect re-homing for us, concerned original owner doing the right thing for her obviously loved dogs; checking out their new home and what a perfect home they went to both together!!

Brings tears to your eyes.
